About Us

Ebenezer Stone Ministries believes faith in Christ is the cornerstone for renewing, restoring, and transforming individuals and families through stability, resources, and building strong communities.

Originally established in 2013, Ebenezer Stone Ministries serves as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our three Community Centers each have their own pillar of focus: food pantries, warehouse, and housing.

Our first and original pantry location, now known as “Ebenezer West”, is located in the lower level of the former Ebenezer Lutheran Church on 35th & Scott. Ebenezer West began as a fundamental pantry and soup kitchen, meeting the vital needs of the surrounding community by providing food, clothing, safety, and shelter to under-resourced families.  As the community has grown over the years, so has the need for continued resources.

In 2020 during the COVID-19 global pandemic, while pantries were closing, Ebenezer stayed open to support the community. Staff and volunteers safely continued to provide hot meals, pantry items, and Covid-19 vaccinations to those in need.

In 2021 our blessings continued as we opened the first Redistribution Operation on the south side of Milwaukee. “Ebenezer East” is located in the valley of Milwaukee on Bruce Street. Because of the warehouse space of this location we are able to reach an even larger part of the community, offering fresh produce, proteins, and shelf stable food for around thirty surrounding pantries and partners. Ebenezer East also serves as a community resource center and shared space for events and classes such as ESL and Computer Skills.

Still growing, the need to resource Milwaukee’s north side with food was evident. In 2022 the “Ebenezer North” Pop-Up Pantry was started in collaboration with Pastor Dennis Harmon of Hope Lutheran Church and Mission of Christ Lutheran Church. This centrally located space on 20th & Center helps us provide food to our north side families twice per month (when Wisconsin weather permits).

In 2023 Ebenezer Stone Ministries merged with another local non-profit primarily focused on housing. “Ebenezer South”, whose main office is located on 15th & Lincoln, offers housing for men and women (new in 2024) in transition to a new beginning. This Christ-centered housing program provides a structured lifestyle to individuals overcoming addiction or who are starting over post-incarceration. Ebenezer South offers a year-long program focusing on repair and growth while allowing individuals to be of service to the community and get involved in a local church. The location at 15th & Lincoln also provides a community pantry in the parking lot three times per week, weekly Bible studies, a job training program, ESL, and other classes as well as many community events throughout the year. A case manager is also available to connect individuals with other needed resources such as state benefits and other important needs.

Through all of these services and more, Ebenezer Stone Ministries strives to transform lives and build strong communities through faith, stability, and resources.  The generous gifts and investments of our donors, grant providers, and volunteers continue to allow us to provide comprehensive services to our surrounding community members. We are so grateful to all who contribute to our ministry. We are blessed to bless others!
